Independent Researcher | AI Governance and Evaluation

I am developing an independent research programme focused on the governance, evaluation and responsible development of artificial intelligence systems.

My current work explores how multiple AI systems might operate within shared, revisable principles while preserving human authority, clearly defined permissions, accountability, correction and transparent records. A related focus is how to evaluate AI behaviour in difficult situations involving uncertainty, competing obligations and new information.

My professional background includes around two decades of work involving complex technical material and the challenge of communicating it clearly, accurately and accessibly.

I am applying that experience to an independent programme of research and framework development. The work is being developed incrementally, with an emphasis on careful reasoning, scrutiny and revision.

This is independent work in progress. I am not currently affiliated with a university or institutional research laboratory. The wider framework and its evaluation methods remain under development; I distinguish conceptual proposals from conclusions supported by empirical evidence.
